The Gift of Good Health: Making Health Screenings More Available

On September 27, 2021, Staff Electric presented the American Cancer Society with a gift to provide 101 health screenings. This Act of Kindness was presented in honor of Staff Electric’s 101st year in business.

“Donating 101 cancer screenings means a lot to me as someone very close to me was diagnosed this past year with colon cancer,” shares Staff Electric Executive Administrator of Operations, Tracy Diekfuss. “Thanks to early screening I can say he is now cancer free, and almost a year in remission. I know the last year has been hard on the healthcare industry; especially patients trying to get screened and treated for cancer, I hope our donation made that process a little easier.”

Each year, more than 1.8 million Americans are diagnosed with cancer. Approximately one-third of them will die from the disease. It is our hope that with more health screenings made available, people will benefit from early detection and the mortality rate will decrease.
